Do solar panels require additional insurance?

Typically, homeowners will be required by the utility company to provide proof of insurance coverage for their system. However, most standard homeowner insurance policies provide adequate insurance protection and meet the minimum requirements stated in your utility’s interconnection agreement. Check with your homeowners insurance provider to ask about coverage for your solar panels. But have no fear; solar panels offered here are all UL certified. They also have 25 year lifetime performance warranties. So your solar panels are insured to produce power for 25 years or more.
