The Enphase AC Battery system is a modular, plug-and-play energy storage solution. The fully integrated Enphase Energy Management System consists of the AC Battery, bi-directional S280 micro-inverter, and the Envoy S communications gateway. Electricity can be stored from the PV solar panels or the utility grid. The saved power can be delivered on demand, and the adaptive system learns how to optimize electricity usage and savings over time.
The Enphase distributed AC power storage system consists of the following components as shown in the infographic diagram below:
PV System - The solar panels with Enphase S-275 Micro-Inverters.
Engage Cable - A plug-and-play 240V AC cable designed for use with the Enphase system.
Energy Storage - The Enphase AC Battery is ideal for maximizing self-consumption using safe, efficient, rechargeable lithium battery. Multiple batteries can be combined with the Engage cables.
Enlighten - The Enphase software cloud that monitors system production, storage and consumption readings for Feed-in Tariff. The Envoy S communications gateway is used to transmit data to Enlighten via WiFi, ethernet or cellular connections.
Load Center, Controllers This can be the existing electrical service panel, a solar sub-panel or other circuit breaker boxes in the home.
