Scheuten Solar Declares Bankruptcy, Twice
Scheuten Solar entered bankruptcy in early 2012. Then after being acquired and receiving backing from China-based solar cell manufacturer, Aikosolar, the company had plans to capitalize on the Scheuten Solar brand and produce 200MW of modules. Later it was discovered that the module manufacturer had a serious design fault issue with junction boxes which led to fires. Then in May 2013 the Chinese parent company decided to forcing the company to seek bankruptcy protection for a second time.
